Landslide kills one worker at Antam?s Pongkor gold mine

A landslide incident on Saturday hit a workers? mess facility at the Pongkor gold mine, in Bogor, West Java, operated by IDX-listed mining firm PT Aneka Tambang Tbk, killing one man.
Antam?s Public Relation officer Arif said that the victim was Nasikun (50 years old), a worker at Antam?s mining services contractor PT Jaya Abadi.
?The landslide occurred during heavy rain at around seven (in the evening), the materials of the cliff collapsed hitting the employee mess,? Arif said. (*)
