Lanna, four other bag 6MT coal supply contract from PLN

State electricity firm PT PLN (Persero) said on Wednesday it has picked 5 miners including East Kalimantan coal miner PT Lanna Harita as winner for its fourth batch coal supply tender.

Director Nur Pamudji told Petromindo.Com that Lanna will supply 6 million tonnes of coal under 5 years contract to PLN?s power plants in Suralaya (Banten), Indramayu (West Java), Rembang (Central Java), Ende (East Nusa Tenggara), Amurang (North Sulawesi) and Kendari (SE Sulawesi).

Pamudji did not disclose the names of the other four winners, only saying that they are smaller size IUP (mining license) holders coal miners.

First shipment will be in December, he said. He did not give detail about pricing.

Lanna Harita is a unit of Thai coal mining firm Lanna Lignite PCL. (bernard/denny)
