Lanna Resources to boost output by 2014

Thailand-based coal mining company Lanna Resources Public Company is eyeing a 7 million ton coal production from the East Kalimantan concessions of its Indonesian subsidiaries, PT Lanna Harita and PT Singlurus Pratama, in 2014, up from a 5.7 million ton target this year..
Srihasak Arirachakaran, Director of Business Development and Marketing of Lanna Resources, told Petromindo.com that currently its subsidiaries are waiting for approvals from the Ministry of Environment of their environmental impact analysis (AMDAL) to increase the production capacity.
"We expect to obtain the AMDAL approvals this year, so that we can ramp up the production next year," he said adding that infrastructure at both concessions has been ready to produce up to 7 million ton per year.
