Lanna to start coal shipment from E. Kalimantan mine

Thai firm Lanna Resources Public Ltd. Said it has started coal mining production from its East Kalimantan coal mining unit PT Singlurus Pratama and would start shipment on June 30.
Senior Manager International Sales Prasert Promdech told Petromindo.Com on Monday that the first cargo of coal with volume of 50,000 tonnes will be shipped to Thailand.
According to a report released by Lanna in July 2008, initial assessment indicated the coal mine has mineable reserve of approximately over 25 million tons.
He said Singlurus is expected to produce 1.5 million tones of coal in 2010. Together with its Lanna Harita mine, which is also located in East Kalimantan, Lanna will produce 3 million tones in 2010, he said. (denny)
