Largest biogas power plant inaugurated

Kutai Kartanegara Regent Rita Widyasari inaugurated on Thursday an 8 MW biogas power plant located in Kembang District, Kutai Kartanegara, East Kalimantan.
The power plant, which is owned by palm oil giant PT REA Kaltim Plantations, will supply electricity to households in 17 remote villages in the region.
State-owned power firm dubbed the power plant as the largest biogas power plant in the country feed by oil palm waste products. (*)
