Lestari Cipta Persada (LCP) Group of Companies, a holding company of two coal producers in South Kalimantan, PT Prolindo Cipta Nusantara (PCN) and PT Astri Mining Resources, claimed that the company has paid royalty worth around Rp 60 billion in 2016.
LCP President Director Henry Soetio told Petromindo.com on Wednesday that the amount of royalty paid to the government in 2016 is almost the same with the royalty paid by the company in the previous year. "Despite in (the environment of) weak coal price we were still able to pay royalty around Rp 60 billion or almost the same with 2015," Henry said, adding that most of the group?s coal production were absorbed by domestic market.
"The price in domestic market was better than export," he said, adding that last year PCN was able to produce more than 2 million tons and Astri Mining around 1 million tons.
