Legislators criticize PLN for using low quality fuel

The state electricity firm PLN unit in Ponorogo, East Java, was lambasted by the local legislators for receiving and using illegal low quality fuel for its power generation facility, Media Indonesia daily reported.

Legislators said that PLN should have displayed good corporate example.

During a hearing session with the local police chief and the office of the state oil and gas firm Pertamina, the legislators also lambasted the two institutions for failing to curb the use of the illegal and low quality fuel. (*)
