Leighton awarded second stage of staff camp for Tangguh LNG

Hong Kong-based contractor Leighton Asia said Monday Japanese Gas Corporation and PT Brown and Root Indonesia Joint Operation had awarded a US$6 million contract for the second stage of the staff camp for the Tangguh LNG camp in West Papua.

?The project involves the design, fabrication and installation of buildings and associated facilities to accommodate 664 workers,? Leighton said, adding that the work will commence immediately and is due for completion in April next year.

Leighton is undertaking the first stage of the camp under a separate contract. (Robert)
