Lematang block to increase gas production to 48 mmscfd

Gas production from the Singa field in the Lematang block, South Sumatra is targeted to increase to 48 mmscfd in December this year from 30 mmscfd at present, according to Swedish oil and gas firm Lundin Petroleum AB, a partner in the block.

?Currently the gas production from Lematang block has reached up 30 mmscfd, and we will increase it to 48 mmscfd this December,? Lundin?s Exploration Manager Batara Simanjuntak told Petromindo.com.

The Singa field has been producing gas since 2010, according to him.

IDX-listed PT Medco Energi Internasional is the operator of the block with 74% percent stake with Lundin controlling the balance.
