LEN to develop another 5 MW solar power plant in Kupang

State owned technology firm PT Len Industry stated that it will develop another 5 MW solar power plant in Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara province.

Darman Mappangara, a LEN?s director, told Petromindo.com recently that the firm has developed 5 MW solar power plant in Kupang, which is already in operation.

?The local government asked us to develop another 5 MW. We are ready to develop it but we should first discuss it with PLN as the off-taker,? he said.

Darman said that currently the existing 5 MW solar power plant in Kupang only runs at 4 MW capacity due to technical problems. ?Once it runs at full 5 MW capacity and the system has been stable, we?ll start developing another 5 MW,? he said
