Lengo-1 starts drilling

ASX-listed oil firm Australian Worldwide Exploration Limited (AWE) announced on Monday that the Lengo-1 exploration well in Bulu PSC offshore East Java was spudded on March 8, 2008.

The company said the well reached the first casing point at 316 meters over the week end.

The well has a planned total depth of approximately 995 meters.

The well is located about 150 kilometers north west of Surabaya in the water depth of 60 meters.

Participants in the Bulu PSC are: AWE (42.5 percent), Aabar Petroleum Investment Company (42.5 percent, operator), PT.Satria Energindo (10 pecent), Satria Wijaya Kusuma (5 percent).
