ASX-listed AWE Limited said that the Bulu PSC Joint Venture is preparing to drill an appraisal well, Lengo-2, on the Lengo gas discovery in the first half of 2013 to confirm its commercial volume of gas.

The company which informed the plan recently in its quarterly report did not give any further details of the drilling.

Participants in the Bulu Production Sharing Contract are AWE Limited with 42.5 percent interest; Pearl Oil (Satria) Ltd as operator with 42,5 percent; PT Satria Energindo 10.0 percent and PT Satria Wijaya Kusuma 5.0 percent.

AWE also said that the evaluation of technical and commercial data for the Anambas discovery - AWE is the operator with 100 percent interest - is still going on.

A number of potential field development options are being reviewed, together with planning and preparation work for a farm out of the Anambas PSC to undertake further exploration and appraisal drilling.

AWE has completed the necessary work for the Indonesian shale gas joint study, onshore Sumatra. Presentation of the joint study results has been postponed by the upstream authority pending the issue of final rules and regulations concerning production sharing for the exploration and exploitation of shale gas resource projects.
