Lengo gas field to produce 70 mmscfd

Lengo field in Bulu PSC offshore East Java is expected to produce 70 mmcfd of gas when becoming onstream in 2016, an official with upstream oil, gas authority SKKMigas said.

Spokesperson Zudaldi Rafdi told Petromindo.Com on Monday that the field?s PoD is currently being reviewed by SKKMigas. He added that based on the PoD submitted the discovery contained 180 bcf of recoverable reserves.

The block is operated by Singapore-based firm KrisEnergy.

Earlier, KrisEnergy reported that production is anticipated to commence in the second half of 2016 with gas evacuation to market via a 65-km pipeline directly to shore. The company is in negotiation with East Java potential offtakers for the sale of its gas discoveries.

KrisEnergy has 42.5 percent interest in the block with Australian firm AWE also holding the same percentage. The balance is held by two local firms Satria Energindo (10 percent) and Satria Wijayakusuma (5 percent).
