Lestari Cipta unit maintains 200,000 tons monthly output

PT Lestari Cipta Persada said its coal mining subsidiary PT Astri Mining Resources will maintain output at the level of 200,000 tons per month in 2016 from its concession in Batu Licin, South Kalimantan Province.

?Last year we produced around 1.2 million tons from Astri and this year we will maintain our output from Astri at that level,? Lestari President Director Henry Soetio told Petromindo.com on Thursday.

He added the company will shift significant volume of the coal output to the domestic market this year.

?Last year, around 90 percent of the Astri output were allocated to export markets, but this year we will be lowering the export allocation to just 50 percent percent,? he said, adding that the new customers in the domestic market are fertilizer companies and several new coal fired power plants.
