Linda Sele field?s output slightly increase

The gross output of Linda Sele TAC field in West Papua totaled 17,696 barrels of oil in the second quarter of the year, a 4 percent increase as compared with the previous quarter, Singapore-listed Interra Resources, the operator of the field announced on Tuesday.

?During the quarter, there was one uplifting of approximately 9,851 barrels of oil,? it said in a statement filed with Singapore Stock Exchange.

It said the acquisition of approximately 55 square kilometers of 3D seismic data over the block commenced in the second quarter with expected completion in August 2012, following which the data will be interpreted by Interra?s geotechnical personnel.

The objective is to gain a better understanding of the subsurface structural geometry and reservoir characteristics, and to identify development potential whether infill and step-outs or new pool fault blocks. Drilling commencement on these is expected later this year. The slight increase in production has been realized via the reopening and work-overs of existing wells as well as the replacement and repair of surface and down-hole equipment.
