Shortfall in shipment from the country?s LNG production centers is expected to reach 52 cargoes next year, down from an estimated 60 cargoes this year, state owned oil and gas company PT Pertamina said on Monday.
Pertamina?s president Ari H. Soemarno said the country?s LNG plants were expected to be able to increase their output as a result of improvement in fields that supply natural gas to the plants.
Indonesia has two LNG production plants, located in Bontang, East Kalimantan and Arun, Nangroe Aceh Darussalam, respectively.
In June this year, Ari was more pessimistic about the performance of the country?s LNG plants, projecting shortfall in LNG shipment to reach 79 cargoes this year. (Alex)
