Local firm wins Ruby field EPC tender

National engineering firm PT Meindo Elang Indah has been appointed by UAE-based firm Pearl Energy to undertake EPC work to develop Ruby gas field in Sebuku PSC in Makassar Strait, an official with upstream oil, gas authority BPMIGAS said.

Vice Chairman Hardiono told Petromindo.Com that the company won the EPC tender with contract value of US$114.7 million.

The field is expected to become onstream in 2013 with production target of 100 MMCFD.

Pearl has 70 percent interest in the block with the balance held by French giant Total SA. (bernard)
