Local people demand legislators to solve dispute with PGN

The people of the Tungkalulu area in West Tanjab regency, Jambi province, asked the local House of Representatives on Monday to force the state gas distribution firm PGN to pay better compensation for their land used for the company's pipeline gas project.
The people had also file a lawsuit against the company in the local court.
The paper didn't provide details on the land transaction, but the paper said that the people only received Rp 5,000 per square meter, while the company had said that it paid Rp 1,000 per sqm. (*)
