Lotte E&C wins $230m order from PLN

South Korean firm Lotte Engineering & Construction Co., a mid-sized construction firm, said Monday it has clinched a US$230 million deal to build a power plant in Indonesia, according to South Korean website yonhapnews
Under the deal with Indonesia's state-run utility firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara, Lotte Engineering will build a gas-fired combined cycle power plant. The location of the power plant was however not specified.
The project will be carried out together with the trading unit of Samsung C&T as well as Indonesia-based construction company PT Hutama Karya.
Construction is slated to begin later this year when the financing part of the contract is concluded and is expected to take 26 months until completion, Lotte E&C said. (*)
