State oil and gas firm PT Pertamina said supply of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) will return to normal in the next few days as imported LPG has started to arrive in Tanjung Priok, a Pertamina official said.

Processing Director Suroso Atmomartoyo said Monday that four cargoes of LPG from Singapore have arrived with another three expected by the end of the month. Seven more cargoes will arrive in early April, he said. One cargo usually carries 2,000 tonnes of LPG.

Western part of Java was hit by LPG scarcity as trouble in the Balongan refinery and turnaround at Balikpapan refinery cut LPG production.(Bernard)
