Lundin completes 2D, 3D seismic surveys on South Sokang

Swedish independent oil, gas firm Lundin Petroleum AB has completed G&G study, 2,400 km 2D and 500 km2 seismic acquisitions on its South Sokang block in Natuna Sea, offshore Indonesia, according to upstream authority SKK Migas.

Head of Survey and Drilling Division Arief Fanzuri told petromindo.com that the company is now in the process of evaluation on the results of its exploration activities.

The South Sokang block covers an area of approximately 4,994 km2. The block contains a new previously unknown frontier Eocene/Oligocene basin which has been discovered by Lundin Petroleum.

Lundin Petroleum holds a 60 percent interest in the block and operatorship with Salamander Energy holding the remaining 40 percent interest.
