Lundin, Cooper win oil, gas blocks tender

The government will announce five oil, gas blocks tender winner under direct proposal mechanism today in Jakarta.
A source told Petromindo.Com on Friday that the winners include Swedish oil, gas firm Lundin Petroleum AB, which will be awarded with Gurita block; Australian firm Cooper Energy fo Sumbagsel block; PT Schintar for Marquisa block; PT Mandiri Panca Usaha for Sembilang block; and Techwin Energi for South Betung.
In November, 2010, the government offered 24 oil and gas blocks for investors to develop in the Second Round tender of 2010. The 24 blocks include 17 blocks through a regular tender mechanism and 7 blocks through direct offer mechanism.
The source also said the other two blocks Arafura II and Indragiri Hilir fail to attract bidders. (godang)
