Lundin to drill two Indonesian exploration wells in 2004

Swedish E&P company Lundin Petroleum AB said Thursday it had planned to drill two exploration wells at its Indonesian operation in 2004.

Lundin did not specify where the drilling location, but in third quarter report of 2003, it said that Blora block in Central Java and the Banteng prospect of Lematang block in South Sumatra were preparing for drilling exploration wells in 2004.

Lundin holds a 40 percent working interest and operatorship in Blora block and 15 percent in Medco Energi International-operated Lematang block. Lundin has also interest in Banyumas block in Central Java and in Salawati and Sareba blocks, both are located in Papua. (robert)
