M&H plans solar panel project in E. Kalimantan

A company called PT M&H Kalimantan Panel Surya plans to develop a solar panel project with combined capacity of 360 MW in Balikpapan, East Kalimantan Province, according to Governor Awang Faroek.

Awang said in a press statement obtained Monday that M&H will make formal presentation next week. The company will cooperate with a local administration-owned company, Perusda Ketenagalistrikan, in the planned solar panel project, claimed to be the largest so far in Indonesia, to be located on a 5-ha land at Kariangau in Balikpapan. The project will use German technology, he added.

?I have asked them to make a presentation (about the planned project) next week. I?m happy with the planned project,? he said in the statement issued following a meeting with founding owner of PT M&H Kalimantan Panel Surya, Markus Hans Otto Wuensche. No further details were provided.
