M Husen named new director general of oil and gas

Muhamad Husen, former acting president director of state owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina (Persero) has been appointed as new director general of oil and gas, according to source.

When asked for comments, Husen told Petromindo.com on Monday: ?I am ready to do my duty as an assistant to the minister of energy and mineral resources and will carry out the existing programs.?

He however said he still has no idea when he will be installed.

Brief biography of Husen:
1984: Graduated from the School of Geology at the Bandung Institute of Technology
1989: Got a science master degree from the University of London
1984-2001:
- Gelogist at the Exploration Division of Lemigas
- Head of Remote Sensing & GIS Studies Group
- Head of Technical Exploration Service Unit at Lemigas
2001-2005: Head of Exploration Division at Lemigas
2005-2011: Assistant Deputy for Oil Affairs to the Coordinating Minister of the Economy
2011-October 2014: Upstreram Director of Pertamina
October 2014-November 2014: Acting President Director of Pertamina
