Madhucon says Indonesia coal mine to start production Dec 2010

Indian firm Madhucon Projects Limited reported on Tuesday that its Indonesia coal mining unit PT Maduchon Indonesia is expected to start production in December 2010.
The Company said it was operating a coal mine in Indonesia with reserves of 900 million tones.
According to the Company?s earlier report, the mine is located in Dawas, South Sumatra. The Company said on March 15, 2010 that production from the mine had just commenced.
The company did not disclose the planned output from the mine.
Madhucon, through its subsidiary is setting up 1,920 MW power plants in Andhra Pradesh in 3 phases. The second phase of 300 MW has just reached financial closure with operations seen to commence in 2012. The third phase will involve development of 2x660MW power plant.
Coal for the power project would be sourced from Madhucon Indonesia. (alex)
