Maersk Supply wins $10 million contract from Inpex

Maersk Supply Service had secured a contract worth US$10 million from Japanese oil and gas exploration firm Inpex Masela, Bisnis Indonesia daily reported on Friday.
Under the contract, the company will rent two anchor, handling, tug, supply (AHTS) ships, namely Maersk Supporter (18,250 BHP) and Maersk Terrier (12.240 BHP).
Inpex Masela will operate the ships to undertake drilling in four locations off Tanimbar island.
“We view it as a good opportunity for beneficial cooperation and strengthening our market position in Indonesia”, said Carsten Pougmann, senior vice president of Maersk Supply Service in Jakarta on Thursday.
Maersk Supply Service entered the offshore market in 1967 as the first Scandinavian shipping company. Today Maersk Supply Service is leading within the field of tow-out and installation of large offshore installations with a fleet of more than 50 Offshore Support Vessels of different types. (*)
