Upstream authority BPMIGAS said the maintenance work on Oyong field, East Java, operated by Santos Ltd of Australia has been completed early this month. The maintenance work included the reparation of the field's mobile production unit (MOPU).

BPMIGAS Spokesperson Gde Pradnyana told Petromindo.com that there was no production loss that resulted from the maintenance work. This was in contrast with early concern that the maintenance work might cut gas production from the field by around 110-120 MMSCFD.

As for maintenance of the Offshore North West Java (ONWJ) gas field operated by PHE ONWJ, the production loss reached around 35 MMSCFD during the maintenance. The maintenance was conducted from November 21 2011 to January 21, 2012.

Gde said the ONWJ operator will also work on changing the configuration of pipeline tied in with the field's facilities from January 21 to February 10. This is expected to cause gas production loss of 130 MMSCFD and 3,000 barrels of oil per day during the maintenance.

He said during the maintenance, the field partially operated. ?There would be no total shut down,? Gde said.
