Major reshuffle to take place at Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources

Volcano expert Wimpie S. Tjejep is tipped to become the director general of mining replacing Djoko Darmono as part of a major reshuffle and restructuring in the Ministry of Mineral Resources and Energy (previously Ministry of Mines and Energy), according to a source.
The source said that Djoko would soon enter his pension period.
The source added that the ministry would also shrink the number of experts to the minister from six to only three experts and cut down the number of research centers into only two centers.
The source said that reshuffling and restructuring was part measure to improve the performance and professionalism of the ministry particularly in the run up to the implementation of the regional autonomy. (--R. Amoros--).
