The minister of sate enterprises Laksamana Sukardi is going to replace the board of directors of state coal firm PT Tambang Batubara Bukit Asam, including incumbent president director R.A. Sunardi, to an industry source told Petromindo.com Saturday.

The source said currently there are several names nominated to fill Sunardi?s post.

?But those candidate names could change very quickly, and the final say would be in Laksamana?s hand,? said the source.

The source hinted that the replacement could take place as early as next week.

PTBA operates major coalmines in South Sumatra and West Sumatra with annual output of some 10 million tons per annum.

The company is one of the state owned firms that would be sold as part of Indonesian privatization program. (arri/alex)
