M. Iskandar, Vice President of LPG and Gas Product at Pertamina, said that the terminal facility will help facilitate LPG supply in the eastern part of Indonesia.
?The construction of this terminal is to increase the LPG stock. We predict that sales will increase in line with the (program) to convert the use of kerosene to gas,? he told the paper.
The terminal, which will be the largest in the eastern part of Indonesia, will be constructed by PT Bosowa Duta Energasindo, a unit of the Bosowa group. Pertamina has no stake in Bosowa Duta. Under the deal, the facility will be leased out to Pertamina for 10 years.
The LPG terminal is located on a 14.6 ha land plot in Makassar and will have a capacity of 10,000 tonnes. (*)
