Malaysian firm Geo Fusion Sdn Bhd has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the West Java Provincial Government for the development of infrastructure projects valued at an estimated US$750 million.

The projects are the construction of the Bogor Ring Road at an estimated value of $125 million, the Bandung Intra Urban Toll Road Project with an estimated value of $225 million, the construction of the Cirebon Power Plant with an estimated value of $330 million, and the upgrading of the existing Husein Sastranegara Airport estimated at a value of $70 million.

Following the MOU, Geo Fusion inked on Monday another MOU with Ireka Corporation Berhad, which is also a Malaysian firm, to appoint the latter as the exclusive design and build contractor for the projects.

Ireka said in a statement that it was expected to assist Geo Fusion to finalise the projects proposed to the West Java Provincial Government within six months. “Barring unforeseen circumstances, construction work on the projects will commence next year,” Ireka added. (Robert)
