Malaysia drops anti-dumping case against RI steel producers

The Malaysian government has terminated its anti-dumping investigation on imported cold rolled stainless steel products including from Indonesia.
The Ministry of Trade said in a statement Thursday that the Malaysian government has decided to stop the investigation as there is no evidence of material losses suffered by the Malaysian steel industry.
It added that Malaysia announced the termination of the investigation on September 21.
Acting Director General of International Trade and the Indonesian Ministry of Trade, Karyanto Suprih urged the Indonesian steel producers to increase export to Malaysia following the termination of the anti-dumping investigation.
