Malaysia's Apac in $1.5b diesel supply deal with Kalimantan miner

Malaysian firm Apac Sunrise Trading (M) Sdn Bhd has signed a US$1.5 billion agreement to supply diesel to Indonesia?s PT Kutai Timur Energi and PT Vellini Synergi Trada for five years, The Star Online reported Wednesday.

Apac will supply up to 50,000 tonnes of diesel per month, to be used for Kutai Timur?s coal mines, shipping activities and other related business. The diesel would be sourced from Petronas, the report said.

Apac would set up a diesel storage tank, with construction would take place as soon as the feasibility study was completed. (*)
