Malaysian company MMC Corp Bhd is exploring tin mining ventures in Indonesia, Malay daily Utusan Malaysia reported Tuesday.
The daily quoted MMC's CEO Ismail Shahudin as saying that the company has received several joint-venture proposals regarding Indonesia's tin mining sector and is currently evaluating them.
He added that the company, however, has not made any decision on the matter.
MMC is involved in tin business via its associate company Malaysia Smelting Corporation Bhd (MSC), which is a major shareholder of Bangka island-based tin mining and smelting company PT Koba Tin. (*)
