Malaysian firm to invest in Central Kalimantan coal

Malaysian firm Timah Langat Holdings Sdn Bhd plans to make investment in the Banjar regency in Central Kalimantan including in coal mining sector and plantations.

Timah senior official Ahmad bin Umar was quoted by the local Kalteng Post daily as saying that this was the company's first Indonesian investment, and it chose the Banjar area because it was safer compared to other areas in the country.

He also said that Banjar offered huge investment opportunities including in coal.
