Malaysian firms, Tripatra to develop oil pipeline in Peninsular Malaysia

Malaysian firm Ranhill Engineers and Constructors Sdn Bhd (REC) said Monday that it has entered into a Master Alliance Agreement (MAA) with Malaysian private limited company Trans-Peninsula Petroleum Sdn Bhd (Transpen) and Indonesian firm PT. Tripatra Engineers and Consultants for the design, engineering, procurement, construction (fit for purpose) and testing of an oil pipeline from the west to east coast of Northen Peninsular Malaysia
Under MAA, Transpen has been granted the exclusive rights by the Government of Malaysia to develop the project, including all engineering, procurement, construction and associated works, to receive oil from crude carriers offshore Western Peninsular Malaysia and thereafter, store (as and where required), transport and deliver the oil to crude carriers offshore Eastern Peninsular Malaysia, Ranhill said in statement to Bursa Malaysia.
Transpen will become the project owner and promoter, with REC undertaking the engineering, procurement & construction works and Tripatra undertaking engineering design and project management consultancy works. (*)
