Man finds gas source in Aceh

A man drilling for clean water in a village in Aceh province accidentally hit a gas source, the local Serambi Indonesia daily reported Friday.
The gas source is located in Suak Ribee village, Johan Pahlawan district in Meulaboh, West Aceh regency.
The paper said that gas came out when the man was drilling at 30 meter depth.
An official of the West Aceh mining and energy office, Fachruddin, confirmed the gas find.
The paper said that the local people were now afraid of possible explosion.(*)
