Mandiri Group through its coal mining subsidiary PT Mandiri Intiperkasa said it is still interested in acquiring a new coal mine although previous attempts failed to find ?feasible? asset.
Mandiri Group Corporate Director Herman Kasih said that the company had previously engaged in due diligence process on a number of acquisition targets, only to find that the assets were considered to be not feasible.
?It seems that looking for good quality assets is quite difficult. But if there is a good one, we?re interested. So far we could not find it,? Herman told Petromindo.com recently.
Mandiri, which operates a coal mine in Tarakan, North Kalimantan, is preparing to double production next year from the current target of five million tons of price recovers in the second half.
