Mandiri Intiperkasa cuts 2012 production target

PT Mandiri Intiperkasa would cut production target to 3.3 million tons from the previous projection of 4 million tons for 2012 due to decreased demand from China, an industrial source told Petromindo.com.

Mandiri?s main buyers are currently from China and India. "For the rest of this year, we still have room for spot deals,? the source said.

Mandiri Intiperksa is a second generation CCoW and is located in Nunukan and Tanah Tidung regency, East Kalimantan. The calorific value of its coal is 5,200 kcal/kg (GAR) with 1-1.2 percent total sulphur.

Mandiri Intiperkasa is 50% owned by PT Harapan Mandiri, with Eddy Sugianto and Eka Sinto Kasih holding the balance 30% and 20% stakes, respectively.
