Australian-firm Indo Mines Limited reported that its Mangkok coal project, 95-km north of Banjarmasin, capital of South Kalimantan province is now producing at a stable rate of 25,000 tonnes of coal per month.
The focus throughout the quarter has been the consolidation and application of operational procedures and standards. The emphasis on cost control and immediate gate sales of produced coal has improved the cash flow of the mine, it said.
Exploration is continuing across other significant coal opportunities both in the region and other locations across Indonesia, it said.
The company did not give further details. (romel)
