Manhattan Resources buys 5 barges

Singapore-based Manhattan Resources Limited announced that its subsidiary PT Aneka Samudera Lintas has entered into a ship sale & purchase (S&P) agreement with Teraoka Shoji Inc. for the purchase of 5 units barges at US$14 million.
The barges are 3 units of D/W 2500T Coal Carrier Barge (Gravity Collect System) and G/T 19T Type Pusher Boat and 2 units of D/W 8000T Coal Carrier Flat Barge and G/T 39T Type Pusher Boat.
?The purchase price was arrived on willing buyer willing seller basis and the purchase price shall be paid to the Sellers in five (5) installments as set out in the S&P agreement,? the company said, adding that the fund was from internal resources.
Manhattan Resources engages in the ship chartering and provision of freight services, primarily for coal carrying activities; and leasing of mining equipment and machinery. It also provides agency, handling, and consultancy services; and coal mining ancillary services.
