Manhattan to start E. Kalimantan gas production in 2012

Singapore Exchange-listed firm Manhattan Resources through its unit Manhattan Kalimantan Investment Pte. Ltd. (MKI) is set to start gas production from its Tarakan Offshore PSC block in East Kalimantan in 2012.

MKI General Manager Bambang Haryanto told Petromindo.Com on Wednesday that the block has secured Plan of Development approval from the government and the Company would spend US$8 million to develop the block, which is expected to produce 10 MMCFD of gas.

Bambang said gas from the block would be sold to local customers such as power plant.

MKI has 100 percent interest in the block. (alex)
