Deputy Minister for Energy and Mineral Resources Rudi Rubiandini said that Martabe gold and silver mining company in Sumatra would resume operation on Monday after local administration settled dispute with local community regarding the plan to build water pipeline to discharge clean water excess to Batangtoru River.

"Hopefully, Martabe can start operation again on Monday," Rudi told Petromindo.com after the working meeting with the House of Representatives on Wednesday evening.

"Social problems in the area have been addressed by the local authorities," he said.

Hong Kong based G-Resources decided to temporarily shut down its Martabe gold operation after failing to resolve local protest on the development of Clean Water Pipeline facility.
