MAS ships 170,000 tons of coal

IDX-listed PT ATPK Resources Tbk has shipped 170,000 tons of coal during March 2013, lower compared to the previous month?s 197,762 tons, from its coal unit PT Mega Alam Sejahtera (MAS) in Berau Regency, East Kalimantan, the company has said.

Despite being lower compared to the previous month, it was higher compared to the company?s target, which was set at 125,000 tons per month.

The company is selling its coal under an offtake deal to Balikpapan-based coal mining firm PT Bara Jaya Utama. MAS produces coal with CV 4500-5100 kcal/kg (ADB).

For the full year 2012, the company produced 850,000 tons of coal. The company hopes to produce around 1.5 million tons of coal in this year.
