MAS to double coal output in 2014 to 3 million tons

East Kalimantan coal miner PT Mega Alam Sejahtera (MAS), a unit of IDX-listed PT ATPK Resources Tbk, aims to double coal production next year to 3 million tons from the estimated of 1.5 million tons for this year.

ATPK Resources said in a presentation materials on Friday that it was also seeking cooperation with other parties on the use of technology to process its coal into value added products.

MAS operates a 3,274 hectares of coal concession in Berau Regency, East Kalimantan.
