PT Pertamina EP, a subsidiary of state-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina, has set a target for its Matindok Central Processing Plant (CPP) in Banggai Regency, Central Sulawesi, to start operation and produce gas in October of this year, CNN Indonesia reported on Saturday.

?As of end of July, EPC progress of the Matindok production facility has reached 91.34 percent, and has entered the pre-commissioning stage,? said Rony Gunawan, President Director of Pertamina EP on Friday, adding that the operation of the CPP will help increase national gas production.

?We?ve been also trying to find oil, but mostly found gas. We now have Java gas projects, Donggi and Matindok. Pakugajah and Pacing are also now in progress. Going forward, we?ll explore Kepudan, which is located near Tangguh,? Rony said.

Pertamina EP currently operates Gundih CPP in Blora Regency, Central Java, with capacity of 50 mmscfd, and Donggi CPP in Banggai Regency, Central Sulawesi, with production capacity of also 50 mmscfd.

Other CPP projects whose EPC currently in progress include Pakugajah Development Project in South Sumatra with production capacity of 45 mmscfd, Matindok CPP with production capacity of 55 mmscfd, Pondok Makmur Development Project in Bekasi, West Java, with production capacity of 37 mmscfd, and Cikarang-Tegal Pacing Project in Karawang, West Java, with capacity of 14 mmscfd.(*)
