Mazak steps down from Churchill Board to focus on appeal

Troubled UK coal mining firm Churchill Mining Plc announced on Monday that its Managing Director Paul G. Mazak will step down from the Board of Directors.
The company said Mazak will be focusing on assisting Churchill and its Indonesian partners prepare for the upcoming Administrative High Court Appeal, following decision of Administrative Tribunal in Samarinda, East Kalimantan, earlier this month to uphold decision by East Kutai regent to revoke its four mining licenses that comprise the East Kutai Coal Project (EKCP).
David Quinlivan, currently Non Executive Chairman of Churchill, will take over the day to day running of the Company as Executive Chairman.(alex)
