IDX-listed sea logistics and transshipment services company PT Mitrabahtera Segara Sejati Tbk (MBSS) has set aside US$11.5 million for capital expenditure this year, to be entirely used for maintenance of its vessels.
?We?ll focus on maintenance (of vessels) and efficiency of operating costs this year,? said Lucas Djunaidi, Vice President Director of MBSS on Tuesday, adding that the company will not acquire any new vessels this year.
He said that the company will allocate much greater capital expenditure in the future when it starts to expand its oil and gas transportation business. The company currently focusses on coal transport.
