MBSS targets to barge 30 MT in 2012

Indonesian barging and transshipment company, PT Mitra Bahtera Segara Sejati Tbk, (MBSS) targets to barge up to 30 million tons of coal and provide floating crane services for 20 million tons in 2012.

Ika Bethari, Corporate Planning Director of MBSS told reporters that this target is increased significantly compared to the realization in 2011 wherein for barging the company booked 23,6 million tons while for floating crane services it booked just 14 million tons.

Ika said that the target is supported by the addtional six units of barge this year to the company's already existing 66 units barging fleet, which also includes 67 tug boats and 5 floating cranes.

The company is allocating about US$ 40-50 million for 2012 capital expenditure which comes from internal cash and bank loan with composition 30:70 respectively. Most of the fund is for purchasing the additional barge units.
